Euro Atlantic Airways returns to Guinea Bissau today
Today, Euro Atlantic Airways will once again serve Guinea Bissau. In an announcement, the private Portuguese company announced the reopening of the Lisbon - Bissau route on August 7, 2020.
Flight YU351 will leave Lisbon Humberto Delgado International Airport at 11:50 pm and arrive in Bissau at 3:00 am the next day. In the opposite direction, flight YU352 will depart from the Guinean capital at 4:10 am, arriving in Portugal at 9:30 am local time. The line will be operated without competition in a Boeing 767-300ER.
Regular flights have been interrupted in the country since last March due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time, Euro Atlantic Airways carried out a few cargo, humanitarian and repatriation flights of Bissau-Guinean and Portuguese citizens stranded on both sides of the two countries.
The company has been operating regular flights between Portugal and Guinea-Bissau since November 14, 2014. Since July 3, it has resumed its flights to Sao Tome and Principe. These are provided by its partner STP Airways, the Santomean national company.
