Emirates: tA380 operating into 6 destinations
After months of being on the ground, Emirates is putting more of its A380s back in the sky. With space for more than 400 passengers, the A380 superjumbos were used at the start of the coronavirus pandemic to operate repatriation flights helping stranded travellers return home. But as the demand for travel slowed, the Dubai airline was forced to temporarily ground its Airbus A380 fleet.
Now, as travel restrictions begin to ease in many countries, Emirates has been busy resuming superjumbo flights to several destinations.
From September 18, Emirates will operate its Dubai to Moscow route using the A380. The super jumbo will fly twice weekly to the Russian capital, with flights operating every Friday and Saturday. It's the latest destination to be added to a growing list of places being serviced by the Emirates A380 – an experience that passengers love thanks to the jet's spacious cabins and double-decker design.
In August, Emirates began operating A380 services on its Dubai to Toronto route. The airline is currently flying five times per week to the Canadian city. Travellers can also fly the superjumbo with Emirates four times a week to Cairo and once a week to Guangzhou. To Europe, the airline is flying the A380 twice per day to London Heathrow and has a daily flight to Paris.
s may also change as demand for travel grows. A spokesperson for the Abu Dhabi airline confirmed that "as volumes grow we will adapt our fleet strategy to meet demand and opportunity."
