Seychelles Boosts European Ties at FITUR: Focus on Diversification & Sustainable Travel
Tourism Seychelles has successfully concluded its participation at the 45th edition of FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, held in Madrid, Spain from January 22 to 26, 2025. This major event provided the archipelago with a critical platform to enhance its visibility in the Iberian market and reinforce its status as a leading island destination within the global tourism landscape. The five-day event was designed to strengthen relationships and explore new avenues for collaboration with key partners in Europe and beyond.
The Seychelles delegation, spearheaded by Mrs. Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing, and Mrs. Monica Gonzalez, Senior Marketing Executive, was joined by prominent Destination Management Companies (DMCs) including 7° South, Mason’s Travel, and Creole Travel Services. Together, they showcased Seychelles’ unique blend of cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and sustainable tourism initiatives. This collective approach ensured a comprehensive representation of the destination's offerings, from tranquil beaches to lush ecosystems.
The Seychelles pavilion at FITUR attracted significant interest from trade professionals, media outlets, and visitors alike.
